The core team that founded Intensity Analytics have been working together for more than 25 years, building a series of successful businesses, employing
thousands of people, and developing key technologies for the secure management of information and critical systems. We've been called upon in times of
national crisis to provide no-bid critical services to all three branches of the Federal government, and we have held many contracts with the Fortune 500,
major computer industry companies, financial organizations, and many other entities that have sought our team. We have a history of building the
right products for the right times. We have founded two major industries and built one of the best-selling large-scale Content Management software tools
in the world. Along with our colleagues, we bring deep experience and training to solving the most complex challenges in cybersecurity.
Jonathan Nystrom, Interim CEO
Jonathan is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for customer experience and for making disruption feel as comfortable as it can. He started his technology career at document imaging and mass storage pioneer Intrafed, Inc. where he first met the Intensity Analytics founding team, and has since held leadership and growth positions in start-ups, public companies, and most recently at the Big 4 professional services firm EY (formerly Ernst & Young). Jonathan is supporting the commercial roll-out of Intensity Analytics products.
John D. Rome, Chairman, Chief Scientist, & Co-Founder
Founder, software architect, and technology inventor. After passing the Minnesota Bar decades ago, John sidestepped the practice of law in favor of
staying with software development, his lifelong passion. Instead of writing wills and trying cases, he has developed large-scale computer programs
to automate virtually every facet of the practice of law and several other industries. Along the way, he launched five innovative businesses,
descendants of which endure today. A veteran entrepreneur, his professional happiness comes from creating high-tech jobs — not to mention entire
industry segments. Fluent in Microsoft technologies, when not creating new uses for automation helpful to the non-tech world, John spends hobby time
developing spherical trigonometric algorithms to further his interest in astronomy. On the personal side, he plays guitar, sings with Bethann at
the Warrenton Presbyterian Church and spends as much time as possible with the families of the four children and 14 grandkids.
Tom Ketcham, President, CIO, & Co-Founder
Founder, world-class technologist, and inventor. Tom has been a serial entrepreneur for more than twenty years, helping manage and guide businesses
from the start-up phase to over 500 employees. As Systems Engineering undergraduate at George Mason University, he co-founded a GIS/urban-planning
laboratory that led to his first commercial venture. He was among the early pioneers on the web in 1993, and has designed countless solutions which
have ranged from novel data capture routines and visualization components, to half-million line technology suites forming the basis for high-end,
critical information management solutions, to patent-pending behavioral analytics platforms. He is a noted inventor of many key software technologies
now found in the offerings of companies like Fujitsu, EMC, and others. Tom has consulted with entities like Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Capital One,
IHS Global Insight, the US House of Representatives, and the US Navy, in areas such as orchestrating the flow and security of information through
state-of-the-art systems, many of which he created. He is an accomplished speaker, published photographer, a doting father of four, an active member
at Warrenton Presbyterian Church and volunteer with a variety of community organizations.
Mackenzie Fribance, Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Mackenzie is widely-recognized for his career-long success helping clients reduce the cost and risk associated with securing and protecting their
information. Most recently, he was a Vice-President for information management giant Iron Mountain. While at Iron Mountain, Mackenzie led his region
in sales, along with major initiatives in M&A, Growth, Safety, Organizational Development, Employee Engagement and Community Involvement. Prior to
joining Iron Mountain, Mackenzie was COO of a privately held national transportation and logistics firm with a similarly impressive track record of
accomplishment. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of British Columbia, lives in Broomfield, CO and can be found after hours coaching soccer,
skiing, golfing, hiking and enjoying Colorado with family and friends.
Scott Cotter, CFO
Entrepreneurial senior executive with extensive experience providing operational and chief financial leadership to manage and grow enterprise value
in emerging growth companies. Established record of success as a visionary in leading and mentoring start-up and accelerated growth organizations
through implementation of metric based management tools to develop new revenue streams and improve organizational performance and employee engagement.
Jonathan Galentine, CTO
Jonathan Galentine, Chief Technology Officer, joins Intensity Analytics from Ntiva, Inc., an award-winning IT managed service provider based in
Tysons Corner, Va. As Chief Technology Officer for Ntiva, he led the in-house design of a nationally-ranked cloud platform and helped Ntiva become
The Washington Business Journal’s No. 1 place to work in 2012 and 2013. Previously, Jonathan ran Nexpoint Technologies as Vice President. He co-founded
the Harrisonburg, Va.-based web hosting company at the age of 15 and over the following decade grew the business to more than 10,000 customers worldwide.
Jonathan also holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
Bethann Rome, VP Operations & Co-Founder
Founder, process architect and opera singer. After a post-college stint exploring what life might be like on the stage, Bethann turned from the world of high C’s
to the many challenges of creating workable, dependable and innovative processes to move (literally) mountains of information into the Automation Age. Notable
among her inventions was the concept of using OCR technologies to identify and route documents through a high-speed assembly line — and not the purpose for which
OCR was invented: recreating pages. She also pioneered the development of the automated information processing pipeline, and designed the software which led to
the creation of what is still the largest, most successful offering of its kind in the world. Her digital mail system was quickly selected by the
US House of Representatives following the post 9/11 anthrax attack. When not managing the handling of more than one million pages per day, Bethann sews dresses
for underprivileged girls in Haiti – hundreds of them!
Kevin Spanbauer, VP Business Development
Vice President of Business Development, and proud grandparent. Kevin is passionate about building bridges between all constituents – clients, employees, alliance partners, investors, and more – Spanbauer means bridge builder in German. He has a track record of consistently growing revenue, expanding market share, inspiring operational excellence, and increasing stakeholder value as a change agent. He has spent the last 20 years initiating, building, and maximizing opportunities in the software industry – his network of strong relationships and reputation for growing the software industry is well known. Kevin conceived of and created a new initiative dedicated to restoring Minnesota’s software community to national prominence. Dubbed the Minnesota Emerging Software Advisory (www.mesagroup.org), MESA is having a profound regenerative impact on Minnesota's software economy by mentoring early-stage software companies to become successful. When he's not immersed in software, Kevin's green thumb takes over in his gardening, landscaping, and forestry pursuits.
